Innovative symphony concert concepts

Welcome to Balthazar Music's English symphony-site where you will find info, concept descriptions, references and cases.

Baltazar Music is a small Danish company specializing in designing, planning, and conducting cross-over projects with symphony orchestras. We design concert concepts from the first idea, through arrangements to the final tone rings out. Our experience in the field is based on several succesful concerts with Danish symphony orchestras. Christian Baltzer plays a central role as conductor in all concepts.

The concept planning is thorough taking production challenges into account. We pay great attention to the musicians, their needs, and we always consider what is actually possible in any given situation and budget.

Welcoming a new audience

We have had great succes helping Odense, Aalborg, and South Jutland Symphony Orchestras welcoming new audiences, making modern projects that make as much sense for a traditional audience as it does for a new one - and the musicians as well.

"Something truly new and surprisingly fantastic happened here. For instance it was enchanting when the rap movement overlapped the tenor aria towards the end... One of the purposes of this project is to reach a wider audience with classical music. This must be one of the ways to go." Review of The Creation 2.0 in Flensburg Avis

"Prince suited the symphony. Refreshing to see Odense Symphony Orchestra measure it's strength against Prince." 5/6 stars in Fyens Stifttidende.
